Benefits of the NanoActive Super-API Technology
The high throughput NanoActive Technology provides significant benefits to its users across multiple areas of product development and life cycle management. The Company has demonstrated that the application of the technology can deliver entirely new technical product profiles for compounds in development and in market, and has application in:
- Assisting in drug discovery where only small quantities (10-100 mg) of active compound are available and traditional nanomilling and high pressure homogenization technologies cannot be utilized. Nanostructured Super-API form, with improved physical properties, can be created without chemical modification, using GMP compliant instruments, with as little as 20 mgs of active compound
- Provide resolution of dose delivery administration issues (solubility, dissolution rate, etc.) that may have arisen in promising new compounds in development that has resulted in their being “non-druggable” in their current form
- Compounds nearing patent expiry can be reformulated to Super-APIs, thus extending IP protection and delivering a new product profile with improved drug characteristics
- Provide the means for creation of a 2nd generation product for products that have underperformed due to difficult administrations routes, problematic side effect profiles, speed of onset, food interaction, etc.
Contrary to the conventional technologies, NanGenex can enter all the critical phases of the discovery and development value chain providing the opportunity to create Class 1 „like” active ingredients from low solubility candidates or products already on the market without chemical modification of the active ingredients.
