NanoActive™ NanoBiologics Platform

NanGenex's NanoActive™ NanoBiologics Platform is dedicated for the development of large complex nanoformulated biological structures like nucleic acids, peptides, proteins which cannot cross pharmacokinetic barriers in their "naked" form.

By using NanGenex's NanoActive™ Technology Platform, biological macromolecules can be converted into nanostructures that protect and deliver the macromolecules in the hostile environment of the human body. Some of the traditional materials used for building such nanosized complexes (e.g. lipofectamin, PEI) deliver their cargo very efficiently, yet, they also exhibit high cytotoxicity. Therefore, the use of these transfection agents is limited to in vitro experiments. Other biocompatible and biodegradable polymers used for delivery (e.g. chitosan, poly-L-lactic acid) show less efficiency reducing the utility of their application.

NanGenex's NanoActive™ NanoBiologics Platform has successfully developed DNA nanostructures and demonstrated the efficiency of these large complex biological structures on HEK293 cells. NanoActive™ DNA particles transfected HEK293 cells with a transfection efficiency increasing over time.
