Ms. Ferenczi graduated as a Biomedical Engineer at University of Miami. After returning to Budapest, for a short period of time, she worked at Genpact, a formerly GE owned company, that has established itself as one of Europe’s business services and technology solutions providers. Before joining NanGenex - Member of the Druggability Technologies Group (DRGT), she held a senior business development position at SOLVO Biotechnology (2006 - May 2010) and was responsible for the European sales operation of the company.

Orsolya Szendrei


Mrs. Szendrei is a committed finance executive with many years of professional experience in finance, treasury, accounting, reporting and taxation.

She held different positions in economic field at Electrolux, Vivendi Telecom and Valeant Pharma (ICN). She also worked as an interim finance manager for 8 years in different industries at companies like ING Real Estate Development, Hungarian Horizon Energy, Hussmann Corporation and Hungarian Technical Publishing House.

Mrs. Szendrei has an MSc in finance and accountancy and has a postgraduate degree in corporate law. She is also a chartered public accountant, tax-advisor and chartered auditor.

Hristos Glavinas, PhD

Director of Preclinical Development

Hristos is the Head of Preclinical Development at NanGenex Inc., Budapest, Hungary. Between 2005 and 2010 he was a Principal Scientist, Head of Research and Development at Solvo Biotechnology, Budaörs, Hungary. Between 2002 and 2005 he worked as scientist at Solvo Biotechnology, Szeged, Hungary. In 1999 and 2000 worked as visiting scientist at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH, USA. He completed his PhD studies at Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University, Szeged, Hungary. He is the author of 21 peer reviewed research papers and presented his work at numerous international conferences. His current research interest is the modification of the pharmacokinetic properties of poorly soluble drugs using nanotechnology.

Genovéva Filipcsei, PhD


Dr. Filipcsei has an MSc in colloid chemistry and a PhD in chemistry. She worked at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, at the Faculty of Chemical engineering and bioengineering till 2008. In 2008 she joined NanGenex to lead the Nanotechnology Team. In 2002 she held a postdoctoral fellowship of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and in 2005 a Research Fellowship of Suzuki Foundation at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Research Centre of Advanced Bionics Bio-Nanomaterials Team in Tsukuba. Between 2003-2006 she owned the Bolyai grant of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She received the Bolyai plaquette in 2007 and the Polanyi Price of Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2009. Dr. Filipcsei was the winner of the Young Inventor of 2005 award in Hungary. She is the co-author of 42 publications in international journals, 17 patent applications, 12 international lectures and 45 conference posters. Number of independent citations: 220.
